Get On The Train was composed seated on an airplane, as I flew from Florida to Philadelphia a few years ago. The title is taken from one of Fareed's pet phrases, oft directed at his guitar and improvisation students; the idea being, if one is improvising and loses the flow of the music, just "get back on the train" and get going again. Jeff gets the tune started with a very tasteful and melodic solo drum chorus in the style of Max Roach.
