Sound & Tone
Rating: 9
Comments: The sound is consistant. All green on guitar tuner. lower ranges respond better with soft or wool mallets. the very high range responds slightly better with hard rubber mallets. I am Pleased at the sound when I am playing it. The volume is good even without amplification.
Design & Construction
Rating: 9
Comments: The frame is solid and easy to dissassemble. There are no rattles or other sounds. Excellent quality casters. Bars are of rosewood. Bought in 1977 and played quite a bit, the cord is barely frayed. (Good for another 27 years) The instrument is easily transported if you have a van or truck. The legs fold and the resonators are removable. The frame is large 5' long and about 2.5' wide. When assembled it stands at 36" high.
Appearance
Rating: 8
Comments: It is a nice looking instrument. The main frame is black with chrome legs and black castor mounts. The resonators are a gold color. The keys are rosewood.

Comments: I am happy with this instrument. Jazz, Blues, Zappa and some classical odds and ends. I think the instrument is well suited for a Proffesional, or advanced students. It would be too much for a beginner.
