Quite frankly, there is no other marimba I have played in the past 20 years that can compare to the sound quality of this instrument unless it is another DeMorrow. I have played on ONE marimba, Gordon Stout's 5.3 octave from 1990 that surpasses mine, but I firmly maintain Gordon's is the finest marimba in the world, recording!

Comments:
| Every aspect of the design and construction is flawless. Doug is always looking into new ways to improve the frame design and keep costs down. However, unlike his competition, this does NOT reduce the quality, durability, or sound of the instrument.

| Anyone who has seen s DeMorrow marimba, xylophone, vibes or set bells personally, can attest that the craftsmanship and details in every instrument are unsurpassed. My frame is sturdy, has held up well over time, does not rattle and is the best looking marimba I have seen.

| This has improved over the years as DeMorrrow has expanded his shop and added more employees. He is the most pleasant person to deal with and gets everything right the firs time for you. Keyboard tuning and repair is quick and I would not trust my keyboard to anyone else.

Comments:
| I would recommend a DeMorrow marimba to any serious percussion student in college, a high school that is going to CARE for it by NOT taking it outdoors, a college percussion studio and professionals at the highest level.

Scale of bars is even from top to bottom. Rosewood is among the best in quality to be found. All ranges are without weak notes and sound production is outstanding. I used this instrument to record my CD. "Something Old, Something New" and continue to receive comments on how great the marimba sounded. This was a driect to DAT recording!

Comments:
| I continue to support the theory that DeMorrow instruments are the best designed, best built keyboard percussion instruments available. Many aspects of Doug's designs from rail supports to tunable resonators were the first in the industry and are copied by major manufactueres today. Many of the world's greatest players point to Doug as the finest builder and master craftsmen of keyboard instruments. His attention to detail and craftmenship are unmatched!

| Polished Brass resonators, fully tunable, undectable solder on joints, frame and casters are solid, noise free and appear to many as a fine piece of furniture from a master builder.

Comments:
| Due to the style of work he does and the very limited help he has to build instruments, you will be wise to exercise great patience when waiting for your marimba/xylophone/vibes to be completed. Well worth the wait however. On a personal level, Doug is fantastic and will do anything needed to make you happy.

| I have 2 DeMorrow marimbas and would not trade them for anything but perhaps a 5 octave DeMorrow. his new adjustable height mechanism is innovative, easy to use and built to last. His instruments can compare favorably with anything being produced today. At least that's my opinion.
