NOTE FROM REVIEWER:
“I recently purchased the Deagan Aurora vibes from the daughter of my former teacher who had recently passed away. I called Gilberto in Chicago and asked them what they might be worth, and he gave me a range of 2500-3000 bucks, and the family asked me for $2700. I paid the amount and feel we both did well.”

| The construction is a 10! - solid, strong and built to last forever. It had rarely been used outside of the studio and several of the vibrato plates had fallen off the mechanism bar and into the tubes. I am going to replace them. The only problem I am having is that dampening mechanism is pretty uneven. If I set it to get a nice, but short ring from most of the bars, the low F# and G# ring freely. If I set the low F# and G# to sound good, the other notes sound very dead and dry. Also, the adjustment never stays in the same position. I am constantly screwing the adjustment nuts back on. I had both of these problems with my Musser M55, and solved it, but that was so long ago, I forgot how I did it! I still have the M55 and they play much better, at present then the Auroras. However, once I get the minor problems resolved, I am looking forward to taking the Deagans out to play! The last problem is that I believe there are a few bars with minor cracks which makes them sound out of tune even without another note being played. I have had this problem before and know it is also solvable.
