Sound & Tone
Rating: 10
Comments: This instrument is truly easy to produce a great tone. It has a uniform sound across the instrument, and Matt has worked long and hard to make the instrument have the best sound possible. I hae used all my mallets on it, and it responds great. Even my 17 month old can stand on a chair behind it and get a great sound.

Comments: I bought the metal frame instead of the wood frame simple for the ease of moving it, and I knew I'd have to move it several times a year for performing. The instument is the easiest to assemble and disassemble that I have seen of it's size, and even the 5.0 Octave can fit into a Honda Accord. (Matt did it with mine.)

Comments: It's beautiful! I have the aluminum resonators and the metal frame, and I still gasp when I see it sometimes, and I've owned it for more than a year. It's not quite as pretty as the wood ones he makes, although I have seen those personally, and they're the most beautiful marimba's I've seen. However, the metal one was more functional for me.

Comments: Matt Coe was absolutely wonderful. I live near Tallahassee, and any time I wanted to come see it while he was working on it, I could. I got to see the marimba in stages, and he was always willing to answer any questions he could. He also let me come pick it up and it saved me lots of money in shipping. Matt is all about doing his very best in every way to make a good instrument and to help his customers.

Comments: If I had to do it over again, I would. Just like it is. Since he offers a wide range of instruments, I think that anyone would be very happy to buy from Matt Coe. www.coepercussion.com
