The instrument arrived out of tune from the manufacturer, however the bars have a great tone. The low end has warmth and body, still it has good projection. Similar to Musser in sound quality, possibly a bit warmer. Once I get it tuned I imagine it will sound even better.

| Since I haven't had the instrument long, I don't know how well it will hold up, but I really like the design of the frame. It is considerably more solid than every other vibe I've played (except for the Piper). Most everything on the instrument is efficient and logical to operate(unlike the piper). Although the resonators and keybed slats don't fold into smaller pieces, it seems easier to break down and set up then any other instrument I've dealt with, its pretty user- friendly.

| Adams seriously needs to hire some experienced tuners. The whole instrument registers at a-441, 15 cents sharp, furthermore it's not in tune with itself. I know that adams has a free tuning and bar replacement within a year policy, I will soon find out how their customer services is.

| I play a lot of jazz, but also chamber music. I think that this instrument rivals every other major brand's instrument as far as value. The only other hieght adjustable vibraphone that I know of is the Piper. At least this instrument is easy and logical to operate. Although it is heavy and not particularly gig friendly, the added strudyness is worth it. Furthermore considering that it's considerably cheaper than musser instruments ( or a standard musser with add ons to remedy its inherent shortcomings)I would recommend this instrument to just about anyone.
